A Message from the Website Administrator

Posted by Admin on February 7, 2007

It has been brought to our attention that a number of contributors to the Comments forum have been using multiple pseudonyms in order to post replies to their own comments, rather than engaging in a dialogue with other participants. We appeal to everyone who wishes to participate in the debate about the Community’s future to refrain from such conduct, and we ask that you use this forum in a responsible manner.

Well said, although I would have rather have seen a proper forum with email verification and password protection on usernames. This insistence on anonymity is bound to encourage accusations of contributors being rude or contrary just to court controversy.

I have, for instance, heard many discussions recently where those watching are convinced that most of the worst posts are being made by the owners of the blog. I am sure that such behaviour would not occur to any of the organisers of this fine instrument
