Forthcoming Meetings: Spring Lecture Programme in Preview

On Sunday 6th April, Alastair Falk, Director of Educational leadership at UJIA, will speak on the subject of Jewish schools and Jewish education in the 21st century. He will look at trends prevalent in education elsewhere and discuss how they should be introduced to Glasgow. The meeting will be held in the Assembly Hall at Calderwood Lodge Primary School at 8 pm.

On Sunday 1st June, Dr Stephen Smith of the Aegis Trust will address the community on the subject of Holocaust memorialisation. He will look at all the nuances, angles and complications involved. Dr Smith has an excellent reputation as one of the foremost authorities in the UK on this subject. The meeting will be held in the Reception Area in Giffnock Synagogue at 8 pm.

Alex Salmond Meeting: Change of Date and Venue

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the date for the meeting with The First Minister, the Rt Hon Alex Salmond MSP, has been changed. We have been informed by Bute House that the First Minister has to take on an unavoidable commitment at short notice.

The meeting will now take place on Wednesday 5th March, 2008 at Mearns Castle School Theatre at 8.15 pm. All exisiting tickets for the event will be honoured.

We apologise, once again, for any inconvenience this may cause.
